WTK: Will KAC "Taupe" a black SR-15 ?

I purchased a black SR-15 and really like the way KAC does their Taupe coating. Anyone know if you can send a gun back to KAC to have them "Taupe" it? Yes, I do know there are other companies
out there that will coat it for me BUT I would like KAC to do it......

Thanks,

I just had an SR25 rebarrelled and refinished by KAC into an M110 Clone. Very Nice Job! Refinishing was charged separately at $250. Based on that, I assume KAC will refinish your SR15. But, KAC won't paint your furniture and be prepared to wait a month or two...they are backed up on Government Contracts. Contact Kevin Boland or June Wetherbee at KAC (kboland@ or jwetherbee@knightarmco.com) for assistance. AWESOME!

Nice, what did it run you for the re-barreling?

My M110 Clone is an SR25 with upgraded KAC Internals, M110 Barrel, Harris LR-S Bipod (may need painting), Leupold 4.5-10x40 LRT (Duracoated in Trijicon FDE) in a KAC one-piece mount. The furniture, including the rail panels, are KAC OEM duracoated in Tactical Coyote. I did not opt for the M110 Stock (yet...hmmmm)

The upgrade included inspecting and upgrading the internals (since this was a '90's production rifle), barrel replacement (20" M110 for 24" Heavy Target Barrel), Cerakote in FDE, Test Fire, Zero and Cleaning. Turnaround time was about 8 weeks. It is shooting about 3/4 MOA from the factory. I have yet to get it to the range myself.

I am having trouble uploading pics...only getting those damned Red-X boxes. Any help?

HOOAH!

If you don't mind me asking what did it cost?

Standing by for answer to OP and pics if anyone's done it. Sorry for the hijack.

Get a photo share account like Photobucket, and just copy & paste to this thread - or email me the photos and I will post them!

That turned out really nice.

Gives a whole new meaning to going "green" with a SR25

Shooting 3/4 MOA groups from the factory. Range report to follow...haven't had the chance to get out with it yet.
