I've looked for close up pics but havent found anything that answered my question as to if an Asap sling plate will fit a SR15 lower or will interfere with the built in QD points?
The ASAP plate will not fit properly with the SR15 lower due to the alignment ears on the mount. You can grind those down a bit and make it fit but you will need to refinish the mount, unless you're cool with shiny on your gun.
I had a local gunsmith milled the ears and blued an ASAP plate for my lower. The SR-15 doesn't have takedown pin springs and detents behind the receiver end plate and the LMT receiver extension automatically indexes itself so that part is pretty easy to disassemble and reassemble.
I think I paid about $30 to have it done and I imagine any local gunsmith can do it. I'll probably do another myself.
5 minutes with a grinding wheel, and a parkerizing tank. Easy day. It gets a bit harder when adding them to .308 guns like SR-25s, OBRs, or even billet AR-15 lowers. Since they're wider.

+1. If you don't have a grinding wheel a dremel works really well as well!
