One of my questions was how is the factory trigger.. Seems like alot replace them

The factory trigger is excellent and does not need replacement. Many choose to do so, but that does not mean there is anything wrong with the factory trigger. IMO, the KAC 2 - stage trigger is one of the best triggers available today.

you should just get one and write a post about "why you shouldn't have gotten one" afterwards.

I agree with this. Very solid trigger as is the rest of the rifle!

To build a rifle with similar features you'll be be at or over the cost of an SR-15 and you still won't have the E3 Bolt. That's all the justification I need.

Try and find someone who has one so you can shoot it. As soon as you shoot it, you will be sold.

They're really good as a stand alone brake but, there are similar if not better options at a fraction of the cost if you plan to just use it as a brake. I have a BC and a PWS to compare it to and have also shot the Dynacomp, various SF's, and other brakes also. I believe they were really designed as a sacraficial blast baffle for the QDSS-NT4 Suppressors and that's the main reason I purchased the ones that I have. I own two NT4's and i wanted to prolong the life of them..

I like them, but I'd say it is quite expensive for what they do. I actually own 2 of them. Probably wouldn't have bought the 2nd one if it didn't come with the rifle.

Note that I don't regret buying them.

Do you clean your 3T? I can't really tell but it looks dirty to me. Not that there's anything wrong with that but my prefered method of cleaning them is dipping it into hoppes no9 wiping it down and drying it with compressed air or let it sit and air dry.

You should clean the 3T. Someone, who i know, runs the 3T and had issues with accuracy with his 3T getting too dirty. Note he runs it by it self and in a suppressor.

The pictures are of a new triple tap - I'm waiting on the BATF so that I can get it dirty

Because it is if your comparing standard market AR midlengths to KAC midlength gas systems. KAC has a longer gas system which helps with making the recoil feel softer and other things. As I know of, only KAC uses this long of a gas system.

It's approximately 11" long. The URX II rail is something like 10.75" and the gas block sits just ahead of the rail.

Anyway you want.. I forgot what I use, but it's a carbon cutter. You don't have to clean it often, just if there is port blockage and build up. In the instructions in believe they mention using a spacer to scrap the ports..

Its on its way, anyone know what i have to do to put an ASAP plate on it? yes i know there are QD slots, i however love my asap plates so i want one on this.

ETA.. looks to me like i just need to file the wrap around wings down to make it work

Doesn't Noveske have a model or two that use this length as well?

That's correct, you have to file it down or mill it down. Other options are to get another end plate that uses a push button QD sling strap like the one Noveske makes.

Don't know. Kind of doubt it though. I believe Noveske makes only the standard carbine, midlength and riflelength versions. I'd contact them and ask. I do know some companies would do a custom barrel and port it at the right location.

Take one of these and put a QD swivel in there...then use that as you sling attachment point. Easier than taking a dremel/file to the Magpul ASAP.

I don't know if it's the exact same length that's on the KAC but, Noveske does make an intermediate gas system. I have one on my 18" SPR

Noveske does have what they call an intermediate length gas system, but it's not the exact same length as the SR15 E3. Same idea, different specs.

I dremeled my ASAP plate. If I have time I will do pics later. The Tittleist did his in the same manner and took the extra time to reparkerize it. I just sprayed it over with some matte black Krylon.

As for the trigger I kept mine stock. I like the face of the trigger. It's a perfectly flat face and not rounded like every other design I know. The only thing I don't like about the trigger is that there is some grit in the first stage which isn't a big deal. It has a different feel than my Geiselle Hi-Speed, but I like it.

I would only get the 3T if you were going to use a NT4. There's far more economical compensators in my opinion. I opted for the Battlecomp on my SR-15. I will say that the use of Inconel is an excellent idea for a sacrificial baffle.

I do have a few knocks on the SR-15 is the proprietary parts, but it's somewhat necessary for the performance it has. I also think the QD cups in the lower are useless and interfere with many sling plates like the ASAP. I do hear that the QD cups are going away eventually though. The rifle is not a super tackdriver, but this is a result of the tradeoff for a lightweight barrel.

I did the same thing. I just left mine in the raw though. It takes all of 10 minutes with a dremel if you're being extra slow.
