BCM Gunfighter Pistol Grips - Now In Stock!
BCM Gunfighter Pistol Grip Mod 0 (No Tail)
BCM Gunfighter Pistol Grip Mod 1 (With Tail)
Just placed my order for 4 of the Mod 1's.
They look great and I imagine the ergonomics will be perfect. If not, shouldn't be too hard to resell them on the EE.
I was looking at those recently, look great and i am really curious of how they feel
Thanks for the heads up. Just placed my order. Thought I would give it a try, although nothing wrong with my present ergo grip.

Can you or someone else post side by side pics of the BCM grip and the Ergo grip? Curious how the angles compare. I LOVE my Ergo grip, but this looks interesting.
Any word on when the color ones will get in?
What's the difference between this and the MIAD?
Got the email today at work and bought one of each. Just got the email that they have shipped.

Grip angle. Grip texturing. Grip size. The bottom cover for storage is on a hinge on the BCM. MIAD has changeable backstraps. Basically, everything except that they're both made out of polymer.

They certainly look similar, I'd need one of each in my hand. Other wise I'm just seeing another version of the MOE/MIAD, at least at first glance.
Its nice but i sill prefer my hogue grip.

I've got an HK ver. 2 grip which is similar to the one with the backstrap....I like it a lot and wish it had a storage compartment. The more vertical nature of the grip lends itself better for cqb work. I prefer more angle on a gun that I plan on shooting at distance.

Im back to the hogue
My new stark just didnt seem to be as durable as they used to be.
No telling what happened but compared to my hogue the quality is liek night and day, sad thing is my old stark grip was very very nice.
Got the email this morning and ordered one.

Everyone goes back to a tried and true. MOE is the one that I just can't get away from....not that I'm trying, but I do like to try out new stuff from time to time.
Thanks! Just ordered one a few hours ago after seeing this thread.

I was impatient and figured it would be a while before the BCMs were available, so I ordered an HK V2 grip the other day. It still hasn't arrived, but I did not even check to see if it has storage. Not a big deal since I have a Sopmod.

You won't be disappointed with the HK grip. As expected, it is very high quality....and serves its purpose very well.
I'm a BCM fanboy with a complete upper that I love, but I have a hard time spending $8 shipping on a $30 item. I'll wait until I have more stuff I need to order. And maybe wait for a few more reviews.
looks interesting might have to try one
I just ordered a few! And a new gunfighter mod 3...

miad has traditional grip angle. Bcm has HK grip angle
The Firearm Blog has an overlay pic with the A2. The grip angle is more vertical, and the butt seems to be smaller. In style, to me it looks more HK-esque. Colors at the end of the month.
I'll wait for FG, what I want to see is more comparison shots, especially a line up with others, like the TD. Not all of us shoot prone on a range, I'm thinking hunters and plinkers do a lot more standing and sitting, where the more vertical angle would help. Even with 50 rounds on the TD, I could be convinced to change if it's no bigger. And the backstrap version won't be ignored, I was noticing a lot of finger wrap with the TD and A series grips, which is something I would like to reduce.
One screw and it's fixed, funny how these extra parts keep multiplying . . .
I was looking at these on BCM's site last night.
Imma wait until I get some more user reports before ordering one. The GI grip I have is doing fine, however I have large hands so something with a bit more girth would serve me well.
How does the grip angle affect using the rifle? I know with the difference in grip angle from a Glock and a 1911, for me anyways, makes a huge different in my point of aim. Sorry to bring handguns into the discussion, but I think it's a valid question.
Thanks for the heads up I had a email just wasn't paying attention. Order placed

I'll go ahead and try and clear this up for you with my experience. The grip angle on a carbine/rifle does not affect sight picture and point of aim like it does with a handgun. I prefer a normal or neutral grip angle (MOE grip for example) on an all-around AR. This is for several reasons. One, I have long arms and with a longer LOP it is more comfortable to have the neutral grip angle. Too vertical of an angle or too steep of an angle will feel awkward after long periods of shooting. The BCM grip angle is the same as an HK416 grip angle. It is more vertical and works better for me for CQB activities. For CQB type training I keep the stock further collapsed (2nd position from closed) and therefore I have a more acute elbow angle which in turn affects my wrist angle. The more vertical grip feels more comfortable in this instance.
For the price I suggest you try it out and you will quickly see what I am talking about (since I might not have been completely made sense)...just my .02. But my main point is not to compare the grip angle on ARs to that of handguns as they don't effect ergonomics in the same manner....at least for me. YMMV

Thanks DevilPig!!
I use my main AR (Colt 14.5" LE6921 / M4A1 clone) for hunting, shooting matches, load development, etc. It's my go to rifle for just about everything other than long range precision shooting; which I have a Colt HBAR for, once I finish it up.
Would you recommend that grip for this rifle? While I may not do long periods of shooting, one of the matches I like to shoot does take almost an entire day.
I guess, like someone mentioned, if I don't like it I'm sure someone on the EE will take it off my hands.
FWIW, other than a GI grip, I used a Houge (like it a lot), and a MIAD (was nice but never for to use it more than holding the rifle briefly).
OP, sorry for the thread jack

Honestly, it's hard to say if it will work for you. I've just given you the reasons why it works for me. If the grip angle of your Hogue has never given you trouble I'm not sure I'd mess with it. If it's something that you have noticed and think you could improve upon, then try it. But as I said for the price, it's not going to break the bank, so give it a go if you are curious.

Thanks, I really appreciate the input and feedback. I think i'll try one; get both right?
I gotta say I love these grips. Much more comfortable for me than the MOE grips I had on every AR. And that screw they included was about 8x easier to get in there.
I don't know why that Magpul MOE screw requires so much dang torque to get screwed in, the BCM one just went in and locked up tight with very little effort.
Anyway, to the more important thing: If you tend to square off to your target when you shoot with the stock pretty shortened and keep your elbows in (not chicken winging), this grip will be a huge upgrade for the ergonomics of your carbine. Wrist fatigue was almost non-existent with me for this grip compared to a MOE. Also, the weapon feels more controllable and I felt like my grip was overall better on the weapon. The texturing on the sides of the GFG really provides some nice stickiness both with gloved and ungloved hands, without being uncomfortable.
I'm sold. These will be on everything except dedicated long range guns for me in the future. Although, I'm tempted to put one on those too.

I ran an HK416 grip on my M4 for a little while thinking the same thing:
In the end, though, I just couldn't get used to the grip angle. It just felt wrong...
...like a Glock.

Haha. Those HK grips look nice too.

The V2 is way better.

Small hands, I guess, but I got that grip over the V2 for that reason - I've held them both.
(HK416 V2 grip for reference)
I even had a MIAD at one point in time - after trying every possible combination of front and back straps, I promptly ended up with a four-piece FDE A2 grip.

Lol, understandable. My main gripe is the finger bump. I hate them no matter what grip they are on. I spent three months at Parris Island building a deep hatred for that little bump and so did my middle finger.
How much storage space does it have compared to the original MOE?
Originally Posted By Leethar:

About the same.
I would say that the amount of storage is about the same as a MOE as well. however I don't know if they will make the different grip core to hold bolt and firing pin or batteries. but they aren't really necessary anyway. I like the way the door open by pinching the sides and the cover being hinged to the grip. The moe cover was always hard for me to get open.
Does anyone know if the Mod 1 will fit on a SCAR 16/17? (I presume the Mod 0 will)
i recieved my mod 1 a few days ago. i liked the angle but folks should be aware of the squarish front area in the grip. found it dug into my middle finger just under my first knucle. the small part you can chose to swap out at the front of the grip is square not rounded enough to be comfortable to me.i took it upon myself to round the piece with my dremel to a curve that was more comfortable to me. also had to add a washer to the screw to get it to fit tight on my spikes lower. still, i like the grip alot, just needed some love to fit well for me...ymmv
I will buy 6!!!!!!!!!!, Thanks for the heads up.
