Suggestions for Upper Receiver
I am a new AR owner and I am here to learn so please be easy.
I recently aquired a Bushmaster XM15 E2S. I would like to change the upper receiver to a flat top. Where do I start and how do I know what will or will not work or will they all work? I have read that Bushmaster is not mil-spec, so does this mean that a mil-spec receiver will not work?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
All ar15 uppers will work on your lower. All I will add to that is do lots of reading, and you get what you pay for. good luck on your search.
I went with a mid length Daniel Deffence upper. very happy with it.

Bushmaster uses a commercial, not mil-spec buffer tube.
