to sell? to build? My dilemma

I've customized the first AR I bought to the point I "like" it, but as I've built more rifles and learned more and more I'm thinking about selling it and buying an ACR or Sig 551. But I hate selling guns. I'm a gun hoarder. So i need some help making my decision. The AR I'm thinking about unloading is a pinned 14.5 unlined and unmarked heavy barrel with Yankee hill light weight free-float rail and a railed gas block on a DPMS lower. Its fine and all, but heavy and superfluous as I've got an "issue" style m4.

Currently I've got 2 lowers needing built up. 1, a Surplus Ammo and Arms, is destined to be a 300 blk Recce/Spr. The other, an LRB, would be the replacement to the one I sell. I'm thinking kind of a Sopmod block II/zombie/robot/societal collapse/shit hit the fan/ got real rifle. I'd use a PSA 14.7 midlength, Aero upper, and 12" free float rails of some kind. I'd love DD ris II, but I just can't afford that so I'd have to find something similar. I like variety so a middy is an attractive idea, and I'd love to have a go-to rifle with better parts than my current shtf gun (the one I may sell).

So what should I do? Any suggestions on what I should incorporate into my new go-to? Any help from the hive would be appreciated. However, remember I'm on a budget so as much as I want the absolute best, i have to get the best I can.

Budget, light weight easy to carry:

Aero upper
MI SS Gen2 12"
PSA 14.7" barrel
Magput STR
ALG QMS or ACT trigger group
MBUS Gen2 flip up sights
Aimpoint PRO with ADM or LaRue mount

I should have added I've got the eotech for it with gg&g mount...and will probably do something else for the buis. Magpul sights just don't do it for me. I like the ss rail as well, and will probably use that for the recce. I really want something similar to the DD ris II, but on a budget, or maybe a spikes bar. I really appreciate the suggestions tho! Also. Should add lightweight isn't the supreme priority, just not ridiculously heavy. I figure the light weight middy barrel will shave a lot of weight off what the old rifle tipped the scales at.

The BAR is VERY fat and round-ish shaped. If I was going to go with a Spikes rail to be close to the RIS II I'd say go SAR instead. I was able to pick up a used DD Omega 12" rail on the EE and that might be where you need to look as well.

That or a used Centurion Arms rail.

1-DO NOT SELL, YOU WILL KICK YOURSELF STRAIGHT IN THE ASS AND THEN JUST BUILD THAT EXACT SAME GUN AT A LATER DATE ANYWAY.

I have been buying parts as I go kinda thing. AIM surplus is close to me so I save up a little then stop by and buy something....stripped upper, stripped lower, barrel whatever I have saved up for. I bought 2 spikes lowers about 6 months ago and have just slowly built them up. I also pick up stuff off the ee when I can. It can be a slow process but when your done you end up with a rifle that you really love and it's built out of the "best parts" in your opinion. I really enjoy it.

last build.
DD barrel 1/9 16" m4 style, FN upper reciever, DD BCG assembly
Spikes lower and BAR rail.
Troy BUIS
Magpul- moe stock, grip, afg
aimpoint comp m4 optic
fenix tk 12 light

It's not exactly "fancy" but it runs like a scalded dog. I'm guessing I have around 2,000 rounds thru it. Never had a malfunction of any type and it's really accurate.

I really enjoy building the guns more than if I was to buy them as a factory build. It took a few months to get it built but she was worth the wait !

Hope this helps.

I'm just up the road from ya then! I too enjoy building more than buying whole
Never ever thought I'd have an xm16e1 or an accurate car-15 reproduction. Besides I can control the parts that go in and i know how to fix them since I built them. I know I hate to sell guns...but I REALLY want an acr or 551...and if i built the proposed rifle I just wouldn't need a non Cl/nitrided barrelled, heavy m4 profile rifle. Besides, other than sbr or piston I honestly can't think of another style left really...I'd have a Retro rifle and carbine, an a2 and an m4, a recce and a "sopmod block II style" carbine. Besides I kind of want a middy...maybe because it is the flavor or the month or I half believe the hype...I dunno. Maybe selling would depend on how much I could get for it.

I'm with all the other guys on this one about not selling it. I started off with one AR and now have three and won't ever sell them. The only gun I've ever sold was a piece of shit .380.
