so my order of a Young Mfg National match came in the other day from rainier arms, I had ordered from them because I had found out that they stake the carrier, but when I had gotten it in the mail, the stamp on it was not the Y/M NM thats usually on the National Match carrier, has anyone else ordered this from them and received one with the Rainier Arms stamp on it? I had asked them on their industry section and they stated that they get it from Young with the YM stamp and with the Rainier stamp mixed in.

This is going to be a gift for my Uncle who is coming back from deployment in the next month and he's been talking about the National Match for a while with his wife/my aunt for his home build. Just want to make sure that he wont be the only one with this carrier on it, Ive dealt with rainier before but before I give this as a gift I would like to know. Thanks!

I know its just a name, and if it was for me I wouldnt mind it, but as a gift to someone who taught me how to shoot and has been in the service for more than 10 years I would just like for him to like his gift knowing it is a Young mfg carrier.

Thanks guys

I'm sure it's as Rainier described, however, if you want to double-check, take a look at the carriers at the Y/M site.
I believe that their NM carrier has a unique shape.

Is there a patent number laser engraved on the right side of the carrier? Young holds a patent on the NM carrier that is unique to their part design. Young also has some kind of agreement with Les Baer allowing LB NM carriers to be marked "LBC" with the Young patent number. Perhaps Rainier has the same sort of deal with Young.
