Real magpul vertical grip RVG vs Pts airsoft version

Real moe screw on right. It is beefier. Also real screw has bluish locktite pre applied.
Real one on left. Rail mounting clamps beefier.
Real one has slotted screws. Also grip surface is rougher and grippier.
Real moe grip on left. It is thicker and weighs more. It's beyond me why Magpul licenses these cheap foreign made imitations. It cheapens their rep and a lot of unscrupulous sellers on fleabay and amazon sell these Pts versions and try to pass them off as the real thing.

I take it you were tricked into buying a PTS, that's why you have one for comparison?

No it's just not at rough. It is not magpul logos. I will use the fake one for my .22!

Since PTS is part of Magpul, is "fake" the appropriate word?

Magpul incenses them specifically for airsoft use, and they are marketed as such

If you shop Fleabay for AR parts you have to be able to sort through and step around this crap.
Better to shop at the trusted vendors such as those in the banner ^^^

What does the packaging look like on the PTS Magpul line? Anything that clearly identifies that this is not for normal use?

This thread isn't 100% accurate.
I have a black Chinese Magpul RVG here that I paid $6.00 dollars for and it has the little Magpul symbols for the texture and slotted screws. I'm 100% sure it is NOT an official PTS grip. I was actually pretty impressed because I have one in FDE too and the texture is NOT little Magpul symbols but it does have slotted screws.
Neither had blue Loc-tite but if I was a dealer looking to burn people, that wouldn't be hard to add.
This is why I stopped going to gun shows.

2 threads for engagement on the "real" screw. That is pretty crappy. 3 minimum 3.5 preferred 4 or more is gravy.
