Hi guys,

I am building my first AR-15. I just finished building the Stag Arms lower, and now looking to piece together the rest. Does anyone have a good list of parts needed to build an upper? I tried the search function, but having a difficult time trying to compile a list of parts for the upper receiver to build.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thank you.

Barrel, muzzle gas block, gas tube, receiver (some come with dust cover and forward assist some not), hand guard some come with barrel nut if not you may need barrel nut delta ring assembly and end cap. Upper action block, armorers wrench vice, barrel vice block, punches

Also needed,
Bolt carrier assembly, crush washer and flash hider for threaded barrel. Scope mounts, sight system, BUIS maybe. Place to attach sling? Bipod stud or other attachment method. Not all items are compatible either. For example your scope and mount may not fit well with you BUIS etc. If you choose a KAC offset BUIS it will fit on very few forends, due to its design.
More things to consider if you get a Gas Piston system.
Receiver as previously mentioned some have door and forward assist preinstalled or can be ordered without, Barrel, Barrel nut, piston kit from adams arms includes (Bolt carrier only, Gas block, Piston (replaces gas tube) forend) other forends compatible with their piston system are listed on their sight under FAQ's. Bolt assembly only it comes with carrier, cam pin, firing pin, firing pin retaining pin, Crush washer and flash hider. and other preciously mentioned accessories for the rail, and sighting system of your choice. Tons of videos on youtube on how to assemble.
Have fun.
