I currently have a M&P15T with a stock 16" barrel. Living in MI there are restrictions on the 14.5 barrel, considering anything less than 16" a short-barreled rifle. My understanding is a 14.5 inch barrel is allowed as long as the comp is welded/pinned permanently in place. A few questions I have are:
1. Does a company manufactuer a 14.5 with welded/pinned comp, if so, what companies?
2. If the answer to Q1 is no, then what are my options? Buy a 14.5 barrel along with a comp of my choice and have a gunsmith take care of it?
3. Does anyone have any pictures of a rifle with a 14.5 and full hand guard set-up?
Thanks for any and all help. I'm just weighing my options as of right now.

Send your upper to Adco and have them cut it down and pin & weld which ever comp or FA you want on it.

Outstanding. Thanks for the information. I really appreciate it. Wish I could find some examples of cut down rifles that are running.
