I'm building my first AR and need to figure out what barrel to buy.
I want a CHF chrome lined mid length 16.
I'm having a hard time finding a 1 in 9 barrel that is in stock. I was planning on getting a RRA but they told me it would be 3 months.
So it's down to a 1 in 7 barrel.
Which one out of these three should I consider?

Are all of these the same type of barrel? The only difference being the manufacturer?
Would there be any benefit to spend the extra $100 for the DD or the RA one over the PSA?
Would there be any problems installing low profile gas blocks on any of them? I read that the PSA ones don't have a dimple in a certain spot to help install the gas block. Am I correct or totally wrong and confused about that?
Thanks for any help.
well right now the PSA barrel clearance sale with free shipping would be hard to beat. better jump on it before they sale out!!!!
That PSA barrel is not CHF; they are out of stock; they do have a 14.7" CHF CMV mid barrel you could perm. attach a flash hider to in stock.
That said, the 16" CMV barrel you linked to is a smoking steal at that price and unless you are running a machinegun, it wont matter that it is not CHF.
The other two are CHF, and both are good barrels.

Ya, I just now noticed that it wasn't CHF. With all the ackronyms I missed that one.
So the CHF isn't worth the extra $150? I plan on shooting maybe 50 rounds once a month thru it.
After reading this it sounds better to use the difference to go towards optics or a better trigger.

yes; I'd skip the CHF and spend the $150 on a better trigger. You'll see no benefit to CHF, but you will with a trigger.
Ive heard these are made by FN. I just bought one for a build and it is very nice.
