Dewey rods. Personally I use Otis pull thru cables which are amazing.

I really like the Tipton rods, they have the female connection on the end and are really well made.

For the past few decades I have made long cleaning rods of brass or aluminum rod, tapped or threaded the ends and used shrink tubing over the rod.
