I have a couple of questions
I haven't dealt w/ AR-10's.....at all, but this past weekend I had a guy that wanted to get rid of his DPMS, 20" FFBBL AR-10 in .243 w/ a 4-12x50 Leupold VX-II. It had 19 rds through it....I put more through it this weekend than he did the 1 1/2 years since he'd bought it new. So here is my questions.
1. Whats a set up like this worth?
2. Can I do RRA 2 stage trigger like what I put in my AR-15 right in this AR-10 or do they take a different size trigger.....
Thanks in advance...
I think there's an appraisal thread somewhere, but yes, you can use standard AR15 fire control parts in the AR10, however.....most AR10's use a stronger hammer spring to get reliable primer ignition. The RRA 2-stage will do this, but many of the older RRA 2-stage triggers would hang-up the bolt carrier group until you let go of the trigger, which is really weird and not how the rifle is supposed to function.
The rifle itself usually sells for between $950 and $1200 new.
The above is correct. RRA changed its NM trigger to a rounded hammer a few years ago. That is the one you want for a DPMS .308. If you get a new one, it should be the updated design.
The value of the LR-308 well vary by location, as a package with the scope I would say 1200-1400 bucks. As stated above the .308 AR's use standard AR15 FCG parts. I would recommend the ArmaLite two stage over the RRA two stage. Available in both Tactical or NM versions.
Thanks guys!!!!
