AR Question, Need Help...

Hello Everybody,
I am actively looking for an AR in 7.62X51 (.308 Winchester).
I'm looking for a dual purpose rifle; tactical and hunting. I need a good quality firearm, but don't have unlimited funds.
The critera I am looking for are as follows:
* No synthetic rifles
* Black in color
* M4 configuration (Six position stock and M4 16" barrel)
* Flattop (Preferably with sights)
* Quadrail (Steel or Aluminum)
I would prefer new, but a well taken care of gently used rifle would be fine.
I'm looking for the best bang for the buck. I don't want the cheapest thing around and it turns out to be a piece of junk. And I don't want an expensive gun, that looks good and only gets by on a name. I need to have some cash for optics, so a decent price would be great.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome. Depending on your budget look at the Armalite AR10, the DPMS LR308, the Knights Armament SR25. Those are the basic 308 AR's that are readily available. There are other companies out there, look around the site and see. Before long you'll be dreaming of the LaRue OBR/PredatOBR 7.62.

Its a good point, buy once cry once the OBR is a sweet rifle.
