I want an AR in 10mm

I love the stats of the 10mm and I just got to fire a 10mm 1911. Now I want a 10mm pistol and AR to match it and use the same mags. Is this possible?

With enough $$ anything is possible.

It might be easier to have someone build a 10mm MP5.

Ronald Williams does them. He is here on the forums. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ro5_r3_vTZw

You are right, the 10mm SBR would be awesome.
Much better than what is currently available for specific purposes.

I've spent a good deal of time researching and wishing, and I am still disappointed.

If you can find a good reliable 10mm AR (or .45acp for that matter) that uses available
high capacity magazines and a standard AR15 lower receiver, please mail me.

I just can't see spending $3k to build a special, pistol only SBR with a proprietary lower
receiver.

I was hoping for something that took 10mm glock mags but after looking into it I soon realized that it would not be impossible but just to expensive for my taste. Not to mention so expensive to feed.

The MechTech 10mm may be an option for you. It uses a Glock or 1911 frame with a 16in upper.
It is reliable but a bit heavy since they are a blow back design.

According to this video at about 3 minutes into it they mention a G10 receiver for 10mm & 45ACP.

I see they currently have the G9 receiver, couldn't find the G10.

CNC Gunsmithithing makes a billet lower he calls a AR45.
it uses a Oly upper and grease gun mags.

Check over in the pistol caliber forum.

Ron's conversion is on a standard AR15 lower. It uses modified grease gun mags.

There is also Bazooka Brothers http://bazookabrothers.com/
The BB lower is similar to the CNC guns lower.

Ron's seems like the hands down winner because its a standard lower. U could have one SBR registered receiver and your upper to switch back and forth.

I had an Olympic 10mm for awhile. The thing worked just fine.

to use G20/29 mags you will have to either use the mechtech or wait for LW

there are a few other manufacturers making glock mag lowers but none in 10mm

if you dont mind different mags you can use the one from RW
however finding grease gun/uzi mags can be tricky @ times

ETA:
though not an AR, there was mention a while back a company that was looking into converting an M1 from a .30Carbine to 10mm.
it was to utilize 1911 mags. dont recall anything else about it

ETA2:
feather carbine uses glock mags

ETA3:
Oly Arms has polymer full body AR mags. you could @ least have same caliber btwn 2 platforms, if you didnt go w/ a RW upper

MGI makes a Glock 20/21 mag well for their modular lower. Not cheap at all, but it is possible.

forgot about MGI.
never really considered them...too pricey for me
didnt realize they had that.
they have definitely expanded their modularity

Can be done but the magblock is the interesting part. The glock lowers for the 20/21 are not far out just going to be a little expensive.

Yep, they have one & I had one. Fun part was looking for my brass 20-30 feet away. The recoil impulse sucked. The 10mm is too much of a round for BB. In gas its a dream. The cases are droped 3-4feet aweay. The video says it all. Watch the muzzle. Try that with an oly

It looks like the lone wolf system will be the best choice. Now just need to wait for it, I guess I can go and get my 10mm glock to keep me occupied. Thanks for all the info guys
