 AAC 300 Blackout uppers?

I'm currently looking for a 300 Blackout SBR upper to purchase, and while Noveske was instantly at the top of my list, I have grown very curious of going the route of an AAC 300 upper.

I prefer the rail system on the AAC over the Noveske, and on top of that, the 9" configuration seems just right for me...which is a length Noveske does not offer.

My concern is that I haven't heard much as to the quality of AAC complete uppers/rifles. Noveske obviously has a rock solid reputation as to offering one of the best, if not the best products in the entire AR market. And frankly, with that said, it's tough for me to justify dropping around as much or more on a 9" AAC upper as I could on a 10" Noveske Rogue Hunter upper.

I'm just curious if anyone can speak to the quality of AAC uppers...as the AAC doesn't say much. With Noveske, you know you're getting what most consider to be the best barrel on the market, plus, the very solid BCM BCG and Gunfighter charging handle...amongst other things.

With AAC, all I know is that you're getting a KAC rail system, and the same exact Blackout flash hider that ships on the Noveske as well.

I'm just looking for any info regarding the quality and potential manufacturers of at least the barrel and BCG on AAC's uppers. As said, I can't find much info on them, and frankly, and justly, it would take very solid feedback to justify pricing their upper in the same pricepoint as Noveske.

Any feedback or experiences?

According to Rsilvers:

AAC uses barrels are made of 4140 steel, nitrided, to an AAC design and with AAC bore profile tooling. So they are an AAC barrel.

Thanks for the info. But as said, and as typical, the info is incredibly vague, and that's all I can really find pertainIng to AAC uppers.

I'm still in the same boat that I'd love to pick up an AAC 300 blackout upper for its configuration, but it's damn hard to justify the $1000 plus price tag for one while I can snag a Noveske for just under a grand.

I find it hard to imagine why someone would pay a few more bucks for an AAC upper than a Noveske. I would think AAC would try to explain what's great about their rifles, but as said, they essentially say nothing on their site, and I can't seem to find any other source providing info on their rifles.

I will send AAC an email to see what they have to say, but well see how that goes...I sent them an email
5 days ago inquiring to when their SR7 suppressors will be available, and still no word back from them.

The AAC 300BLK uppers are on par with what Noveske has to offer. This is coming from someone who owns both. AAC makes a top of the line rifle just like Noveske does. The fit and finish are excellent and it shoots very well.

That being said I mostly shoot my Noveske 8 inch just for being a little lighter with the troy rails instead of the URX and being 1 inch shorter than my 9 inch barreled AAC rifle. The only advantage the AAC has is that it will cycle my subs almost always without the suppressor. The Noveske hardly ever cycles any of my subs without the suppressor. Once you put the suppressor on though the Noveske runs like a champ.

If you like the look of the URX, want the rifle to cycle subs with or without a suppressor and prefer AAC 9 inch barrel to Noveske 8 inch barrel. I would highly recommend the AAC upper.

With the choice between the Noveske and AAC you can't go wrong.
