Anyone make a compensator in 1/2 - 36 thread pitch for my 7.62x39 barrel besides Yankee Hill? I'm running their flash hider which is fine but want something more agressive, not concerned with hiding the flash, this is strictly a range run.
PWS makes a few 30 cal. comps that utilize an adapter for that thread. http://primaryweapons.com/store/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=57
I was hoping to find one in the right thread/size but so far Yankee Hill seems to be the only option, I think I'll probably have to go to a 5/8 - 24 adaptor so I can use a standard 7.62 comp. I remember reading a comparison of comps with a laser and a long exposure camera to measure the barrel rise & return of various comps and the PWS FSC in 5.56 seemed to fair better than most. But that's been a while and I haven't been keeping up with new stuff. Anyone know of a better .30 cal comp?
been going through the same search and gave up, just went with the
yhm to go with my yhm fluted 16 inch barrel
Not a comp, but I ran a Smith Vortex 9mm in 1/2-36 on a 16" x39 build I did a few years ago.
