CMMG builds a decent pistol?
lemme know thanks
Mines unfired but looks gtg.
I'm interested as well. CDNN has the complete pistols cheap.
If you are asking about .22lr's, I have the original. It has worked great from day one. With or without a suppressor(TAC 65) and never had to change a spring or anything.
I've used the same bolt in 20", 16", and 6.5"
The ones from CDNN, who knows. I don't know if they are factory built or like some other dealers I've seen, uppers with old, discontinued bolts.
I was talking with one guy that bought a "new" CMMG upper from a reputable dealer. Turned out to be a 1st generation upper with a set screw holding the bcg. Must have been some way back stock the dealer had.
CMMG hasn't had one of those for over two years.
Buy direct or roll the dice.
Good luck.

My neighbor bought 10.5" one a couple of years ago and to date hasn't had any issue with it.
I recently purchased the CMMG MK-4 from CDNN for an SBR build.
It is the 6.5" bbl evolution model. The BCG does not use a set screw –– it secures to the barrel via ball/detent.
I only have a 100 rounds or so through it, with NO problems whatsoever be it subsonics, transonics, suppressed or unsuppressed. YMMV.
If you would like more info, LMK.

Excellent! I ordered one of these because of the price, hasn't gotten to my FFL yet, glad to see that it's an Evolution and not one of the older models. Do you know which options they come with? BHOA, etc...? Thanks!

Black bolt?
Stainless bolt. Slick as the proverbial whistle.
Bolt holds open on last round, but closes when you take the mag out.
It is my understanding they make an adapter which engages the AR lower bolt release if you want it.
Comes with older, Black Dog style mag, not the new Evolution "skin" mag.
Shot another 150 rounds through it yesterday without any issue. Very pleased so far.
