If you're going to build a collapsible stock SBR out of it later, use a carbine buffer tube, just don't put a stock on it. You can use any buffer tube you want for a pistol so long as it doesn't have a stock on it. I'm using a rifle stock length buffer tube on mine since the pistol's a legal placeholder.

If you have another carbine @ home, then no worries about an extra stock about. If this is your only AR, wait'll the paperwork comes back before ordering the stock, or stash it @ a buddy's house.

Gig 'em,

I'm sure someone else will chime in but I think you'd be better with a 1/7 twist in a 7.5 barrel

Id recommend a 1:7 barrel, as it will allow you to also accurately shoot heavier ammo if you'd ever desire to or be willing to spend the big bucks on 69+ grain ammo. Also, this is a personal preference, but id recommend spending the extra money on Troy sights. I'm a big fan of polymer, but when it comes to something as critical as sights, I prefer something more solid and rugged.
