Original Dust Covers - Are these the real deal?
Are
these dust covers original units?
NO,Made by Jerry Drasen (Sendra,Nesard)
Thank you.
I have one of these coming in the mail to use on my prototype build.
I like that it doesn't have the square or rectangle on it.
Prototype would have nothing, 601 has the square, and the rectangle after that.

Either that or revisionist history.
Ha! Good call
I bought a couple some time ago for proto builds. Some of them are a little dinged up from storage, but look like they were never really used.
I have an early Sendra AR, so I put one on it. It just seemed like the right thing to do. But I only paid $8 for mine.

I have one on my prototype build because it just looks like it should be there, not because that was the kind actually used.
These things belong on AR10 clones.
All we need are some sight bases.

And Portuguese handguards...
I was just cruising through RBR, and noticed that these are mentioned as being used on the experimental prototype Colt model 703.
Doubt that's where these came from, but it's kind of cool anyhow.
