A question on cam pins...chrome or moly?

I'm looking to build an early model AR which contained a slick-side chrome BCG...My question is, was the cam pin on these also chrome? I havent found any information and I'd like to do this as correctly as possible. Thank you!

I believe they were chrome.

there were never any chrome cam pins that colt made. the ones that are hard chromed out there today are aftermarket. some appear chrome from the finish wearing down.

Colt NEVER made chrome cam pins.

Boywonder and M1 are correct, Armalite & Colt never had chrome cam pins.
