Carbine or mid length

Greetings all. I'm going to start my first ar build and at first I was set to build a carbine but as I sit and read more the mid length is growing on me. What is everyone's opinion on either of these? I'm leaning toward the mid....any thoughts? Thanks for your input.

Im a newb here too. Theres like a millon threads on this so your prolly going to get bashed. Mid length is supposed to have less recoil, it has longer sight radius with fsb. Some people dont like them because its a commercial invention. Everyone has their opinon but this is definitely a dead horse

I like small and light. I use an eotech and flip irons as backup so no real need for longer sight base.
