 Do light weight barrel with .625" FSB use regular handguard cap?

Hi, I just want to know does light weight barrel with .625" FSB use regular or special hand guard cap? Thanks in advance!

They use a .625 handguard cap, if that's what you are asking. Midlength or rifle use a triangle cap, carbines use a round cap.

Because originally rifles had triangle handguards and carbines had round handguards, perhaps?

The Round cap has cuts in the bottom that allow the rails of a M203 mount to pass? The M203 is all under the handguard of a rifle-length gas system but spans the gas block on a carbine.
