Hi, I just want to know does light weight barrel with .625" FSB use regular or special hand guard cap? Thanks in advance!
They use a .625 handguard cap, if that's what you are asking. Midlength or rifle use a triangle cap, carbines use a round cap.

Never understood that one.

Because originally rifles had triangle handguards and carbines had round handguards, perhaps?

The Round cap has cuts in the bottom that allow the rails of a M203 mount to pass? The M203 is all under the handguard of a rifle-length gas system but spans the gas block on a carbine.
