Newbie A2 questions

hello to all.
i bought an A2 surplus upper from OOW and need a little info. will any bolt carrier group work ok in this rifle? also, i have an A2 stock from a DPMS lower and has a carbine buffer. will this work ok with this upper? im going to use a RRA stripped lower for this. any info would be helpfull as im new to the ar style rifle.

Welcome to the forum! Yes, any standard BCG will work in it, you need a rifle buffer for the rifle stock.

and OP as stated earlier, as long as your using an AR15 bolt/carrier you should be OK..it doesn't matter if it's full auto style or semi..they both work in a semi rifle.
However, you can't use a carbine buffer in a rifle length extension (unless you have a spacer) because the shorter carbine buffer will allow the bolt carrier to travel too far back into the (longer) rifle length extension which could possibly result in a damaged lower receiver
