Picked up a Colt 6450 from a buddy of mine. Thinking about an optic for it - what's everyone running with the A2 uppers? I'll be mostly using it for plinking and action shoot matches, under 100yds. Not sure I'll need magnification, was thinking more along the lines of a dot sight. I'd be curious to see and hear about everyone's setups.

Some people like their mini acog's. If I were to get a mini acog for a carryhandle mounted 9mm, it would be the 2x.
Budget would help with recomendations. I'm shooting irons and red dots right now and look for decent red dots without a $300 price tag. So far, my PA 30mm is doing very well.

I hadn't really thought too much about a budget - my first thought is if it was just for the 9mm, plinking at the range, I wouldn't go too expensive. But, if I was to go for something like an ACOG with magnification, I could always use it on my 6520 as well.
