I personally know 3 business that are hording ammo until later this year so they can get $1,000 + for 500 rounds and people will be happy to pay it because all they have to do is put it on the plastic and make payments..I really think it is silly for a person to buy so much ammo unless you shoot in competitions or something..
All the ammo I have seen ( personally) is old stock from 2005 to 2008 and to me it is just there rotating there stock at you're expense..
As for the gas it is going to go up a dollar a gallon every year until it hits 5 bucks a gallon. It has went up a dollar a year every year for the last 3 or 4 years now..I totaly quit fishing and put my boat up for sale because of gas prices it's just not worth it..
Safe shooting to all.

Prices are up across the board. This is largely the result of the unrestrained PRINTING of money by the federal government. The U.S. dolar is the world's reserve currency. what this means is that in order to buy oil you must first buy dollars. so as the govt prints dollars, our value of the dollar respective to the value of a bbl of oil changes. Soros, Obama, and Geithner all seem intent on the "ordered decline of the dollar".

There are also obvious transient conditions such as elections, un treaties, fast and furious, the EPA's on again off again love affair with the idea of removing lead from bullets, racial tensions, incan calendars, and yes even the popularity of prepping and zombies.

Gun sales are at an all time high. Gun sales to WOMEN are at an all time high. People here knock the Top Shot, Red Jacket or American Guns folks but I promise you that someone, somewhere didn't own a gun, then saw the show...then decided to go buy a gun. oh it may not bring them out in droves but the number is higher than zero.

Oddities like the govt purchase of 450 MILLION rounds of 40 s/w also creates "pocket" shortages too where 40 is squeezed directly and 10mm which is likely manufactured on the same rigs is pushed out by the 24/7 drone of 40 sw rounds being built.

That's my $0.02 worth (which isn't worth as much as it used to be before they printed the extra money)

So how much is ok to buy until you get "silly?" Would that be 500 a month 1000 a month?
