I'm thinking about getting into 6.8spc and was wondering if anyone made a lower priced FMJ round? I'd like to be able to have fun at the range but not if it's going to cost me over .75 per round.

Thanks,
Mark

~$0.80 + is about what I see in the marketplace.

If you save your brass and sell it on 68forums you can cut your costs down to about $0.65 per round. The longest I had my brass for sale was 22 minutes, shortest was 7 minutes.

After a while you'll start reloading and get those costs down to about $0.40 per round.

No. If you reload you can get it down less, but then you also have to add in the equipment you bought, and your time to do it. The press, scales, etc will average out eventually, but don't forget your own time involved to actually do it.

There's a reason I don't shoot my 6.8 very much... I do wish more people would get up here on the bandwagon with me so the demand increases and hopefully drive the price down some.

Love my 6.8 but due to ammo cost I don't shoot it a lot. Heck, for that matter I'm not shooting the 5.56 that much either because of ammo cost....

if u can find it, remington UMC will be around $15.50 a box, less if you can buy in bulk. somewhere in the .75-.80c range.

best thing to to do is sell your brass like others said.

Tula has ammo on the way for the 6.8 and rumor has it so does Federal. But, dont plan on it ever being as cheap as 5.56...

I rarely plink w/ my 6.8, i use my 5.56 for that!
