Just got a call from a buddy who works in a sporting goods store. He said they have a bunch of High Standard AR magazines (steel) for $10 each.
Don't know anything about them... and the store is quite a ways from my house. He said he would put some back for me, if I let him know.
Deal, or no deal?

Never used one but considering DSG mags with Magpul followers are $8.50 I'd pass.

I rode up there, just for something to do.
Come to find out, they were aluminum, stamped mfg in Hartford, CT. Green followers. Orginally marked $24.99.

They were probably rebranded Okay/NHMTG mags. They usually go for $12 online, so $10 (+tax) isn't bad.

brownells had their mags on sale for 10. i threw 2 in my cart while making a recent order. 10 isn't a bad price but its not the best either.
