Have anyone of you riveted pmags before??

I have a few 20rd pmag part kits and 10rd inserts as well (yes I live in Commifornia) and I was wondering if anyone here has riveted the floor plate together so it will become a "permanently modified" 10rd mag. Is it just enough to put the insert in and call it a day as some suggest?

It requires good judgment. Who is stop a prosecutor or dirty ATF cop from dremeling off epoxy even, and then returning the magazine to a normal functioning "high capacity" unit, and then throwing a person in prison? I did not use rivets on one of my Pmags, but I epoxied the heck out of it for my own peace of mind. Opinions on this WILL differ though.

I don't think the ATF has anything to do with Kalifornia laws....

If you are woried about "dirty" cops what is to stop them from getting you on something else????

I'd put more effort into getting the hell out of Kalifornia than wasting time modifying mags and hoping for the best.

Actually, that philosophy makes a lot of sense.
Hell, what's to keep a "dirty cop" from bringing his own hi-cap mags to bust you on?
Stranger things have happened.
Riveting is probably a good idea, and even that can be reversed.

LOL seriously....

i live in CA and am a LEO also. I have many 10 rd mags for my non registered AW's. my advice to people worried is to be more safe than sorry.

rivets and epoxy are more than acceptable when modding a mag. it would not hurt to keep a copy of your DROS and maybe the AW flowchart in your rifle bag just in case you come across a LEO who is not up to speed .

if you have fear of a crooked cop busting you I cannot help with that, I am sorry if you have run into a crooked cop before. I try to be knowledgeable in my job and always give good people the benefit of the doubt. on the other hand if you are a gangster and/or a criminal with illegal guns then I will throw the book at you

I use epoxy and/or a rivet for permanence. Rather be safe than sorry..

This. simply blocking it off is not going with the intent of the law. Law says permanently. if not riveted or glued it can be undone in about a minute with your bare hands. Nothing permanent about that.

Is that volume 1 or 2 of How to understand women?

OP
It is amazing how much work you guys have to go through just to appease some dumb ass politicians. I be the gangbangers are as thorough as you in making sure that they follow the law

I can use whatever magazine I want to in my state and I have bought and use more of the short 10 round magazines than I do 20 round magazines. I prefer the shorter length sticking out the bottom.
