Trying to clean up my scope mount screws and mount faces before mounting a new scope.

What's the best solvent type product to use to dissolve the old stuff.Probably used a little to much.

Little bit goes a long way.Thnx,J45

Believe it or not, hot running water and a toothbrush. Loctite is a water-soluble adhesive.

I've also had good luck with a steel wire wheel on a Dremel motor. It's a lot faster than dissolving it with water

Heat breaks it down after a certain temp.

Didn't know it was water soluble.Tried fingernail polish remover and it didn't seem to faze it.Maybe I'll let the screws soak in water overnight.Wirebrush em in the AM.

Brake cleaner will also remove it.
