What would be better for during the day/night?

I have a Bushnell 1x (looks like an Acog) and the green washes out during the day. The red seems easier to see in my experience

Red during the day and green at night. If the optic has a good thick aiming point in the reticle it's likely you won't need illumination anyways. At night make sure the red dials down pretty far as your eyes will adjust to the reticle's brightness, and not the targets.

Since nobody has answered it yet, personally, I prefer the green dot. That said, I didn't know they were doing a green dot patrol outside the zombie model. Could you post a link to it? (saves me a call to the leupold custom shop 
)

It's the zombie version. Only one i've seen.
