In the process of building a m16 a5 build 20" barrel with vltor a5 buffer and emod stock). I put a single point sling adapter on the lower because I had one layng around. Has anyone used a single point sling on a 20" barrel and how well did it work?

20" barrels on single points are generally considered to be excessively long and magnify any and all downsides of a single point.

Single point adapters can and are often used as rear sling point adapters for two point slings, though, and is my preferred method.

Also - there is no such thing as an M16A5. No such animal has been type classified, and military issue 20" rifles with collapsible stocks are not using Vltor A5 stock assemblies, but a standard length carbine receiver extension with a heavier "H6" buffer.
