What is the best/most economical upgrade for my surefire m951?

I bought a Cree LED lamp off of eBay a few days ago that will fit the M951 platform. Supposed to be 300+ lumen, but we will see when it gets here. The other option is the KX4 LED light head.

A Malkoff M60 or M61.

The KX4 does not fit on Millenium series weaponlights. He would need the KM3 for a Surefire solution.

Go to Brightflashlight.com. Either the website or under industry forum. You can get a Malkoff device for your 951 and they are GTG. Just let him know it is for a 951.

I'm also wanting to get a Malkoff replacement but I have several questions about them.
-It's my understanding that the M60 has a narrower beam than the M61. Is the M60 beam narrower than the stock P60? Or is the M60 the same as the stock P60 with the M61 throwing a wider beam?
-I see different color versions; cool, neutral, and warm. I understand that the warm is closest to a non-LED bulb. What are the benefits of using one color over another? Does one have a greater perceived brightness over another?
-On the Malkoff website, they offer a standard M61 and M60W warm tint. Is the standard M61 a neutral tint?

These questions have probably been asked before, is there an FAQ somewhere that would have these answers?

––Thanks

Our Tx4's have been very well received as well.

When I owned a M951 I purchased a Surefire P60L LED lamp.
It's a direct replacement for the lamp that comes in the M951.
Surefire doesn't sell them any more...I found mine on the EE for $25.
It worked really well and I noticed very little difference in the beam's
intensity and it just about doubled the battery life from the Surefire
brand CR123A batteries.

This. The newest Malkoff devices lights are super bright. You may opt for a warm tint (M61W) or lower output (M61L), or both (M61WL).

Well, I decided to sell the 951, and ordered a M300A From Aim - I like the idea of a lighter smaller unit, and if I am already going to be buying a new head, might as well get a smaller, lighter unit.

This. I like the M61 in my M951. Lots of light. M60 is a nice lamp too. It's in a G2L of mine.

That is EXACTLY what I did. I loved my 951, but I got tired of the weight of the damn thing! You'll like the Mini-Scout...nice and bright and WAAAY lighter than a 951!
