5.45/5.56 bolt
will a 5.56 bolt work on a 5.45? i was thinking of doing a 5.45 ar build. i can find a barrel but not the bolt. i have heard it will work and heard it eill not work. just wondering if anyone on here knows for sure before i start buying the rest of the oarts i need. and if it will NOT work, where can i buy a 5.45 bolt for an ar? thanks in advance for any help, it will be greatly appreciated!!
I was able to get one from Model 1. They sell parts and full bolt assemblies (with extended firing pins)
Spikes might also be able to help you, but they do not list them on their web site to the best of my knowledge.
They are not the same bolt.
