I was wondering if anyone has ever "dipped" their own guns? I have seen a few videos on youtube and it doesn't look to hard to do. But I was wanting someones first hand experience. My concerns are doing it on a quad rail, collapseable stock, and scope. I am going to do it to my s&w mp15 and some magpul pmags, .308 cetme, 9mm hk p30. My concern on the p30 is the grips because those are like a real grity style, and if it would stick to it. The camo patterns would be "hunting" patterns not military camo. So please give me some feed back if you have some. Thanks Chris

P.S. I think I'm going to start my first AR build really soon, so I'm sure you will see me asking a whole bunch of stupid questions since I'm a newb to it.

There is actually a subforum for refinishing. Go check out the Armory>Refinishing section.

I was just asking about this yesterday when I realized there was a section devoted to it.
