hello all,
I was just curious what would be a good price on a custom build AR. here's the specs.

upper half
DPMS flat top upper W/out forward assist and dust cover
DPMS bolt carrier group
non chromed 16" barrel 1x9 twist
badger ordnance low profile gasblock
seekins precision billet rifle length 4 rail handguard
standard charging handle

lower half
DPMS lower
MOE buttstock
MOE pistol grip
rock river arms 2 stage trigger
DPMS LPK

rifle has less than 500 rounds through it, asking is $1200 is this a decent price?

that seems pretty high for a used dpms with a trigger upgrade and some moe furniture..

The seekins rail is probably pretty nice $230

new dpms panther $860

trigger $120

moe stock $40

grip $13

so that's about what he may have put in to it but shouldn't really expect that after used.

maybe with some nice sights or an optic your talking... idfk

Pass on it. It is over priced and not custom. It just has some furniture strapped on a low end rifle.

My custom build is like this
PSA lower
CMMG LPK
PSA RE buffer and spring with a MOE mil spec stock
AP upper with the cool American Flag and no name door
BCM BCG (don't scrimp here)
SSA stainless 16 inch barrel, carbine gassed good barrel better price
Troy battle rail and low pro block
Phantom Flash Sup
And 3 Pmags

Under 800 because I shopped around

My Frankengun is a custom. All parts I picked out and I assembled.

I am with the above folks...I quoted cause of what was said, I'd add not to skimp on the barrel or the BCG....

My build:
Wilson Combat 16" lightweight 1:7 5.56 $259 shipped new
Wilson Combat muzzle break ($30 on sale)
LT BCG $139 shipped new (or something close)
Spikes Jolley Roger lower $110 new OTD at my local dealer
Spikes Jolley Roger port door
PSA LPK (I think it was like $50 for the standard) and FA ($12)

rest of it came off the EE
FDE magpul CTR stock, with 9mm buffer and spring, mil-spec tube
FDE Magpul MOE PG
Midwest Industries rail
stripped spikes upper (few marks, nothing major and for only $70)
Magpul BUIS
Gunfighter #3 charging handle

and we're batting right about $825, and Iwe'll hit $1100 since we are going to put on a Giessele SSA trigger and an Primary Arms optic
we picked alot of things due to price and after researching other's posts on what worked. Sorry for long winded, I just think for $900-$1000 one could have something a bit more towards custom than 'enhanced'
