Who has barrels in stock?
I'm ready to order my barrel but it appears that nobody has them in-stock. Anybody out there know where I can purchase either separates or a complete upper with the following specs (If I get the complete upper for a reasonable price, somebody is going to get a great deal on an upper receiver because I don't need it):
16" Lightweight Mid-length system 5.56mm
Chrome lined bore
1:9 twist
A2 Front Sight Base (F-marked)
Pre-ban with threaded muzzle and bayonet lug
M4 Feed Ramps preferred, but not a deal-breaker
Any help appreciated.
Thanks,
Dan

Does Rock River generally have barrels in stock? Their website allows you to buy them and they do not say "infinite back order" like a lot of their other offerings. Does this mean if I order one I will get it quickly? Or will have to wait weeks. I emailed them but haven't heard back yet.
Lots of companies have barrels in stock try DSG they had some spikes barrels the other day also try PSA or Rainier.
rainier arms and psa only have 1/7, and 1/8 twist barrels. the main companies that have 1/9 twist barrels are rock river, dpms, stag, bushmaster. surplus arms and ammo has some for 99.00 but its a stripped barrel

Nevermind. The just answered my email. It would take 3 months to get a barrel from them.
Why the 1/9? It's not like your building a varminter.
Have you searched much?
Check out
Rainier Arms and
Fulton Armory
Also check out
Palmetto State Armory Here is their
barrel clearance page.

x2?

anyone know a place where I can order a 14.5 w/ lo-pro gasblock and a pin'd battlecomp 1.5 installed? Rather just order it whole then have to run around to a local smith.
Rainier arms have and will do all that for you
If getting a barrel, or a complete upper
I highly recommend
Complete Uppers and Barrels USA made MIL-SPEC
These guys are out of So. Cal and do awesome work..... amazing build quality and tons of options......
I literally just ordered a 16" mid-length 1:7 from PSA. It cost $124, free shipping. Starting a build for a friend's wedding present. It's not for a year but I plan to have the rifle up and running by the end of the summer to give me ample time to work out kinks.

I ordered the same one yesterday. Do you have any idea how long PSA takes to ship? Or is this the type of thing where it says in stock but ships weeks later?
What I have noticed, as I also am trying to order a barrel is many sites say instock but their build.ship time is ridiculous.
I ordered a barrel from DPMS that said instock when I asked when it would ship they told me barrels ship in 50-70 business days!! Really!! That is ridiculous

I've only ever ordered ammo and small parts from PSA before. Like I said, the rifle I'm building I have a year until it becomes a wedding present. I'm not in a rush but even when they are busy, my turn around time has been pretty good. One thing I have noticed, by the time I get the tracking info the gear is usually 2 days from me.
