Knights armament Hand gaurd Problem

Okay i just got a set of Knights Handgaurds and when i went to install them on my AR "armalite" the bottom one fits perfect, but the upper on goes under the front "gas block" but the rear just wont seam to fit under the slip ring.... Anyone else have this problem?
The last thing i want to do is dremel them, but it seems as if thats the only way....if you need PICS let me know

What is the barrel diameter at the slip ring?

Thats what ive been trying.... it doesnt work either... its like its too wide/long for the barrel n slip ring

If it's the RAS and you don't get the locking bracket under the barrel nut, it won't go on properly.

I wasnt sliding it under the lock nut
