When painting the receiver with Gun Coat or AllumaHyde do you paint inside the receiver also (the rails and walls) or just the outside?
If painting the rails is the functioning changed or not?
I have Romy G finished and ready for paint. Thanks for suggestions

I use GunKote and paint the internals. When dried it's very thin and was designed for close interference parts, I've never had an issue with parts binding after painting.

Back when I used to Duracoat it all I never had any problems except once on the lip of the hammer and cleaning off the paint fixed it (it was rather stiff for my liking).

Thanks for replays. I've painted it with Brownel's Aluma-Hyde II and after moving the carrier 100 times paint still holds on the rails.
Will post pics soon

I was going to suggest the inside as well. Sounds like you have it worked out.
