I was at the range a few weeks ago with my Yugo underfolder. Its a CIA build I've had for a few years. Never had any trouble with it until now. I folded the stock for easy storage in the truck. When I got to the range it would not unfold. I could tell there was some give in the push button but not much. I used a commie approved method of getting it to unfold. I wrapped a mag in a flannel shirt to use as a hammer and banged the button in. Stupid maybe but it worked and the stock unfolded OK. I did notice that the little rod or pin that's in the stock was now missing. If your familiar with the underfolders there is a little round wheel under a guard on the side opposite the button. There is a pin in this hole. It was constantly loose and I had to be on guard not to lose it. Now it's gone. I'm unsure if this would make it impossible to unfold or make it loose when unfolded or both. When either folded or open the pin is held in by the guard but when folding/unfolding the wheel where the pin is is exposed by the way the mach. works.
Any hints. Is the missing pin the key or is my stock loose for some other reason? Thanks in advance.
I would bet it is the missing pin causing the problem. I would try to find a replacement or another type of pin that will work in it's place.

Yeah...finally found it by searching like mad through the AK threads. Since it's a good piece of commie manufacture I think I'll try an old nail or something similar....cut to the right length of course. I know I have a rusty hacksaw somewhere.
