chicom steel core vs yugo 7.62X39 ammo?
which is better in terms of reliability, accuracy, etc.
i have quite a bit of chicom ammo and have never tried the yugo stuff, just wondering if it is something i should look into acquiring by trade or just outright purchasing to compliment my ammo pile?
so far i have been pleased with the chicom ammo and wolf, but the yugo is sealed in tins which preserve it for much much longer.
From what I hear Yugo is good.
My opinion is save your Chinese and shoot Yugo. At the least trade off your chinese or if you REALLY like it, keep it for SHTF. Anymore the stuff brings a premium just for the name and that it is mild steel cored.
Sorta funny, AK ammo (NC) is about 20 cents a round at the last gunshow, corrosive yugo about 17 cents a round......Chinese 50 cents a round!!!! And it sold out way before anything else.
you know I have read lots of good things about Yugo M-67, I ordered 160 rounds, my gun does not like it, I have shot about 60 rounds of it, had 2 misfires, deep primer strike but no boom
and it's groups are 7 inches or so, I can group 4 inches with Barnaul's for some reason my gun just doesnt like yugo.

if i can get 2.5 rounds of yugo for 1 chicom, i would trade in a heartbeat. anyone in SE wi want to swap lol
maybe people think all chinese ammo is AP- steel core....I had a fellow worker who traded some with me in exchange for cheeta...He was told it was AP..well, it turned out wrong ..I just kept the sample for the heck of it...
Just not common sense to buy older ammo for that price when you can get Yugo much fresher cheaper...unless you want to collect a few rounds...
