Is there anything special about Made in China 30rd mags? What is a fair price for some of these still in the bag with grease still on them?

10 bucks each. That's what AIM sells them for. here Yes it says Surplus European Steel AK47 but look at the picture then look at your mags. They are in like new to new condition. They may be worth a little more if they say made in china on the floorplate(in ban states?)

For what its worth Chinese mags are just about
top of the line for surplus mags. I've found that
the mags marked made in China have a little bit
better machining and less sharp edges than the
"Surplus European" mags that may be Chinese or
maybe made on Chinese machinery.

I bought 4 of these mags from AIM and they are NOT at all like my CHINA stamped mags that I have from the 80's and 90's. The AIM mags have the tell-tale razor sharp protruding rib on the back of the mag that my Chinese mags lack, the AIM mags are painted dark black and are not blued like my Chicom mags and lastly, the AIM mags are too tight in my Maadi, M70 and pre-ban Hungarian SA85M ('87 vintage). I am debating on whether to dump them or do some judicious grinding on them with my Dremel.

I'd say that blued CHINA marked mags are worth a bit more than $10. Just my two cents.

You did not get the correct mags from AIM then. You probably got the bulgy mags. The ones I received look and feel(hump back spine no rib blued) just the same as my made in china marked mags. Call AIM and get them exchanged.

The only reason the mags marked made in china would be worth more than the aimsurplus ones is, they are preban.

Same here. My Aim mags are the exact same as my Chinese mags from years ago. GARY N4KVE

I just got a shipment in from AIM on Friday. They're CHUGO mags. They appear to be brand new as they had cosmoline in there (a good bit) and no wear on any of the surfaces. I threw them in the oven at 200 for 5 minutes, then wiped them down. Ran 120 rounds through them with no issue. While they're not Chinese mags, they're great mags.

Next to my Romy mag..

I bought 4 from AIM a few months ago and they looked just like the Chicom mags I got with my Norinco back in 87. The blue was a little darker, but everything else looked good.

Now some of those European mags are having some issues with tighter tolerances. We got 3k of them in at the shop I work at and we have had some issues with them fitting into some WASR's ,although the mags supplied with the WASR work fine. Its very odd.

Chicom mags dont have that sharpy back ribs. If i can only replace all mine with CHinese mags the better.THe best ones that i have right now are the East German, they have ribs but more user friendly. The Bulgarian too is okey . But the worse to handle is the Romanian. They are rough to say the least. I got only one CHicom taken from a used Norinco NM . All of them works so no complaints.
