Where Are All The Wire Stocks?

Where are they? None of the major retails/distributors seem to have them and the prices on the secondary market have gone up considerably. I don't need one, I'm just curious.

So you're suggesting there was an incredibly limited supply and no more coming in?

The supply wasn't that limited, for quite a while a bunch of places were selling them. I used to see them for sale all over the place. It just eventually dried up to where it is now.

Wow.
Perhaps someone in the industry can comment...Any word if we'll see another influx of surplus stuff at some point or is what's here the last of these stocks?

A few months ago while cruising ebay, I followed an auction on a Romanian wire folder that eventually sold for over $200.

Damn. I have three Romy folders new/unissued sitting in a box. Might be time to sell.

You're a little late to the game. They have been selling for years and were $25 at one point.
