bayonet on bulgarian ssr85c

I have an SSR85C, but there is no lug. Looking to put an east german style bayonet on. What options to I have besides having a gunsmith put a lug on?

Replace the Front Sight Base (FSB) with one that has a lug.
Basically: Drive the two pins out, press the FSB off, press the new one on (straight), drive the two pins back in.
