My red dot decision for an ak74, please critique

I'm a little fuzzy on all the options floating around but here's what I think I've narrowed it down to.

PA M3

I am drawn to this because

-I have 3 AK variants, all with side rails
-It will allow a cowitness of the irons (this is what I've read, if I am wrong please correct my understanding)
-It is within a price range I can handle
-The battery life is supposed to be good ever since PA changed whatever it was that they changed to make the batteries last longer

The intended use for this is less than 125 yards.

If you have a suggestion that may be better than this, let me know.

Thanks

I have the same combo and like it. The PA M3 is a very good budget red dot and the RS mount is top notch. Good bang for the buck.

Sorry, I don't know anything about them. I have always used a Ultimak and Aimpoint T1. Good luck with it.

I'm going with the same setup, so I don't really have any critiques yet. The logic behind it seems sound.

The RS Regulate AKM is hard to beat for a 30mm tube side mount. As for the PA optic, its no Aimpoint, but it is one of the better budget options.

I'm in the same boat as far as deciding on what red dot to put on my AK. I keep coming back to the fact if I go "Budget" paying $200 with shipping. If I just save up another $250 I can get a Aimpoint micro used off the EE. Later down the road I won't be able to sell the "budget" optic and get nearly what I invested.

A used Aimpoint ML2 can be had on the EE for about $300.

Ditto.

But if Liquidmetal likes it, you can't go too wrong.
