BeezCombatSystems-Big thumbs down
Just wanted to give everyone a little warning about this "company." I placed an order for an AK74 chest rig. I get an email notification stating that my order shipped last week, so I'm expecting it by Friday. Friday comes, I get nothing in the mail, so I call BCS. I get an email stating that my order was taken to fill an overseas order. I can live with that, but what bothered me was that I was not called or emailed to let me know that my order was not filled.
So today comes and I send an email and I didn't get an apology from the company about my order. Instead I hear the same song and dance about how my order was used to fill another order. I'm also told that my order won't go out til this Thursday due to shortage of materials.
Now, I'm getting annoyed since I already paid for my order and I have nothing to show for it...so I ask to either ship my order or cancel my order. There are too many other companies offering chest rigs and I sent enough time waiting for this item to arrive to me.
Dude tells me that my order ships on Thursday...once again without me ever hearing an apology for what happened. At this point, I'm annoyed and I don't want to ever do business with BCS. I give the company the opportunity to make this right by cancelling my order and refunding my money. I advised if BCS did not cancel my order that I would be forced to contact my financial institution to dispute the charges and I would be contacting Utah BBB.
BCS states they would refund my funds and this is what he said to me "I will refund your money. Don't just go way ......go far way."
Good way to talk to your customers. I'm not asking him to kiss my butt, but it would be nice to say hey we did this and we apologize for the delay. BCS didn't have any issues taking my money.
So BCS sends me a refund for my order via PP...and I noticed that he didn't send it as a refund, but rather as a payment, so I would have to pay the PP charges. I send BCS another email asking if they could refund me instead of BCS sending me a payment and he replies with "Please go away" Fortunately, I called PP and have the rep take care of this for me.
All I must say is buyer beware. I don't care how good his product is...his poor handling of a simple issue is going to be the company's downfall. I for one will never recommend doing business with a guy that cannot take any ownership for what occurred.
I have a feeling that he just didn't have enough material to build the chest rigs and he used my payment to purchase more material.
That dude wouldn't let you go away because of HIS incompetence. What a D-bag...

Agreed. It's not like you were bored and "bothering" him for no reason...
I'm good on AK gear but I shall be wary if a future need takes me in their direction. Thanks for the warning.
I DETEST poor CS from companies in return for doing business with them. Don't need the aggravation.
Glad to hear you called PayPal and had the fees taken care of, I was going to ask you for your email and remove the fees myself.
Thanks for the heads up on BCS. They have good looking stuff but I'm sticking with US Palm for my AK gear. I love my Attack Rack V2.
That's the problem with doing business with some of these smaller companies. They act like they're doing you a favor when you buy from them.
Tactical gear makers/vendors I've had good luck with:
High Speed Gear Inc.
SKD Tactical
Original Special Operations Equipment
US Palm
Shellback Tactical
Tactical Tailor
762 Tactical
Just to name a few...
I spent $4,000 in the past three weeks and have had some bad orders. Guess it's my turn to have bad experiences because normally I get items shipped and all is fine with the world. I was just expecting it last week because my friends and I have been training heavy on our days off and I had no chest rig to use.
I bought a carrier for my interceptor armor last year and it came without incident.
So Aubie, have you found a rig yet? If not, give the UWGear guys a call. They will restore your faith in small gear companies. ;)

Man, I am RIGHT there with you. I never have issues, but I've dropped a few grand since December on new optics and gear and I've run in to heaps of trouble with orders, from both big and small vendors. One in particular led to a PayPal dispute but that's a story for another thread, and I'm still waiting to see how Voodoo Tactical takes care of a messed up order.
Long story short, I feel your pain.
I posted this on the AKforum since that was where I learned of this company. So ole boy replies in my thread talking all sorts of crap. In regards to me having to pay the pay pal fees, he stated that he would ensure that I would be compensated, so I wouldn't be charged the fees. I've seen no communication from him or via pay pal that this took place. I had to call pay pal directly to have PP waive the fees to get back my own money.
He also states in his reply that my chest rig was completed last week...Oh really, so why did he tell me via email that my rig wouldn't ship til today due to waiting on parts.
I feel that the bottom line is he just didn't have the material to complete my order and the whole...we took your order to fill a military order is an excuse because it sounds better than...Oh I'm a one man band and I build them one at a time because this is a new business venture for me.
Bottom line for me is when I order something and pay for it...I expect it in a timely manner...otherwise, do not charge me and don't send me an email telling me m order shipped when it did not.
I'm holding off on buying any AK vest at this moment. There are some really nice rigs being offered, which is great.
Good to hear this. I wasn't real interested in their stuff but I'll definately avoid it.
That said, this does seem to be a problem with smaller gear makers. 762tactical was slow as well, however made it up for being late both times.

I agree, 762Tactical is GTG but can be slow. Personally, I will never use any AK rig other than my Palm Attack Rack, but good luck to the OP on your search for a rig whenever you decide to buy. Lots of good choices nowadays based on your needs.
While on the subject, yet another day has gone by without a response from Voodoo Tactical on my messed up order situation. I'm starting to get a little bothered as most reputable companies reply within 24 hours, but time will tell how they handle it I suppose.
As we all know there are two sides to a story.
This is what happened from our side. We are an on-demand manufacture and we do disclose this on our website (Terms and Conditions) and right before check out. The estimated turn times are also provided.
Most gear will go out between 4-13 days. On custom work allow 10-15. Large orders can take more time and we can provide an accurate estimate.
We do put a priority for our men and women that are overseas and in harms way. In this case, a few orders came in that required this priority. Unfortunately his rig was market for shipping and a notification went out informing him that his rig had shipped. Once his rig was pulled we put a high priority on a new rig for him. The new rig was completed and would have shipped with in 10 days from date of order.
We recognize there was a communication breakdown but would have had the rig shipped with in our estimated turn times.
He did contact us via phone about the tracking notification and wanted an explanation. We provided him with this email with in a few hours of his call:
We received your VM. We had your rig ready to ship and a few orders came in from guys down range. Our policy is gear to guys down range first. We did bump your rig up in the production order so it should ship the first of next week.
Thanks for understanding.
At this point, you would think most guys would say OK I understand I will have my rig in a few day. He continued to bombard us with insulting emails and questioned our Honor. Honor is something we take very seriously.
He requested a refund and a we sent him a full payment.
End of story.
Thanks to all of you that support Beez Combat Systems. We work hard to keep out turn times low, bring innovative new gear to market and maintain the ability to provide 10 color options.
Stay safe and GodSpeed
The herp derp seems to be strong
I hope this all gets sorted out.

As a business owner, other than to reiterate your policy of shortchanging your customers, you have done nothing to rectify the situation. You have a customer who you failed to communicate with, delayed shipment of product to said customer, and now take a position of umbrage based on what you feel was a subsequent question of your honor?
If you want to grow your business and have positive feedback on boards that you evidently police for such information, why not apologize to the customer for the lack of communication/delays and offer some token recompense. This situation could have been turned into an experience that the customer bragged about.
You have failed to take the high ground.
When I was 16, and got my first real job, I bought a stereo on the layaway program at Radio Shack. I paid it off early and was all ready to get my stereo, only to find that it had been sold to someone else. They said come back next, week, we're getting a shipment in. This happened two more times before I told my dad. Homer went in and asked the little shit where the hell my stereo was. Little shit ( who was also store manger, and had sold/laid away the thing to start with) said it would be in next week. Homer said it would be there while we were waiting, or he would call cops for theft and call the I-Team from the news. Little shit sent flunky to another store to get me a stereo w/2 extra speakers for my trouble. I have never been in a Radio Shack since––long story short, you sell me something, you give me what I paid for, and when you promised it. I am getting sick of the "we're supporting the troops" as an excuse as well––we have a lot of a lot fewer guys on the tip of the spear these days, and you dishonor them by hiding behind them. I went through virtually the same thing last year with a vendor who didn't have the MOLLE gear they advertised on thier website...Glad to take my money but real SLOW to refund it(it was always going to in next week...)
