I've heard it both ways, it will, and it won't.
So would someone mind clearing this up for me before I waste a lot of money? Will the PK-A work with a Krinkov?
It depends on the model, there are different versions. The 'classic' model is grey and fits low to the reciever, the black model can have a higher mount or be lower to the receiver.
This one won't fit
This one will

Well that sucks.
Thanks.
I picked it up anyway, what does the brass screw on the back of the optic govern? Everything I have with the scope is in Russian.
Yeah, you did.
I got my PK-AS back, so no worries.
My PK-A is sitting on an Arsenal 106-CR now, so no harm no foul.
Still would be nice to get a good translation of the bullet drop chat and user manual.

PK-A is the only optic I've seen with it, honestly I can't say for sure.
I haven't tried with the PK-A but I know with many older combloc optics you can swap the base out by removing the 4 screws (and maybe the PK-A big brass screw too). It might be possible to swap to the MTK83 mount which might make the PK-A high enough to clear the rear sight housing. I don't know for sure but it seems likely.
Here's the MTK83 on the Romanian LPS/TIP2 (Kalinka usually has these mounts)

Through my observations it seems that the brass screw is used to adjust the fit from side rail to side rail on different guns. the head lines up perfectly, and catches the back edge of the rail. I also noticed that the zero is affected if you allow the screw to jump the back of the rail and rest on the side.
The PK-A is sitting on my 106CR now, I'm running a PK-AS on my UR rifle.
