I'm thinking of picking one of these up, and I've seen some old reviews but not alot of new ones. Does anyone have any experience with these? Does it have a chrome bore? Did they work the bugs out?

Thanks in advance

my experience wasn't fantastic, the company made it good in the end though. A buddy of a buddy bought one and it seems to be a pretty good rifle. The cons for me were:

-refinished the rifles with a paint (not correct for Yugo)
-refinished the wood (not correct)
-proper ammo was a PITA to find.

The ammo issue was really what pushed me over the edge and why I sold it. The older stuff is apparently exploding guns (semi-autos anyway), and the newer stuff is impossible to find. My rifle was very picky about the grain, when I shot the cheap Romy stuff it was all over the place, and also 30+ grains lighter than the "sniper" ammo for the M76's.

the pros:

-well put together, even if not "correct"
-fun shooting rifle. Was accurate when I had the right ammo
-not something you see all over the place.

Do your research and buy the right ammo. The people at AWO were really nice to me until I posted a review about all my experiences (a truthful account, non biased), from all I hear they continue to have excellent customer service.

I've been mildly tempted by their .308 M76. There is absolutely no info out there on them and I don't want to be their beta tester for them.

that was my issue also, but I bit the bullet. I can tell you they are using all of ORF's old stock in most of their stuff.

Actually I came across your review from a year or two ago. It seems like they have bullet guides standard now and have fixed the hole in the bottom of the receiver. They still do not warrant surplus ammo from the site. I haven't seen any reviews since they made changes, but it does look well put together.

What kind of groups were you getting? That .308 does look pretty awesome.
