TAPCO G2 trigger in new WASR

I just got back for fondling a couple of new WASR 10s at my LGS. They seemed pretty decent but what got my attention was that they both had TAPCO G2 triggers installed. I didn’t notice the importer so I’m wondering if Century is adding the G2 trigger to their WASR’s? The clerk was busy with another customer and I didn’t have the time to ask him more questions. I may have to go back and take another look at them.

Also, the price listed on them is $419 plus tax. Is that a decent asking price considering they’re equipped with G2 triggers?

They've been doing that for a very long time now. My CAI WASR has a G2, and I got it as a Sunset rifle back in '04.

Thanks, I didn’t know that. My low cap, bought in 06 from Century, came with standard factory trigger. Just a little confused why some people complain about “trigger slap”. My low cap has a pretty decent trigger as is but the G2 on the ones I looked at feel really nice.

When they convert them to hi-cap they have to add US made parts for 922r compliance. the parts on a Converted WASR are the trigger, hammer, disconnector, gas piston, pistol grip, and muzzle break.

I got my WASR in '07 and the G2 group was OEM.
