WASR 3 parts commonality?
I'm tossing around the idea of getting a WASR 3. What if any parts are common with other AKs? If I get a WASR 3 I would like to also get spare parts to go along with it. I'm mostly interested in the firing pin, extractor etc. Thanks in advance!
I'm no expert on 5.56 caliber AKs, but I doubt that the extractor is the same as any other caliber AK due to the difference in the diameter of the base of the cartridge and the thickness of the rim. Also IIRC (and I may not), the Romanian 5.56 bolt is shorter than 7.62 and 5.45 AKs, which would mean the firing pin would be different as well.
